Torin Francis concludes UNC visit

Tar Heel recruit Torin Francis, a 6-9 post player from Mass., was in Chapel Hill on Sunday and Monday for an unofficial visit.

Monday, 9:00 p.m. Update - Francis' unofficial visit concluded Monday evening. He, along with his mother and his high school coach David First, toured the campus, got to check out the facilities (though the locker room is being renovated), met extensively with the coaching staff and even got a chance to sit down with Dean Smith.

This evening he headed to RDU to fly to Atlanta for his visit to Georgia Tech. After that, he'll go to Notre Dame to conclude his unofficial visits. A decision is expected shortly thereafter, likely by the end of the month. Stay tuned to IC for the latest.

Monday, 1:00 p.m. Update - Francis has begun his unofficial visit, spending the day with the Carolina coaching staff. Keep an eye out for him on campus, as he'll be getting the full tour. We'll post a visit recap tonight.

Sunday, 5:00 p.m. Update - Francis is expected to arrive late afternoon, early evening today. He'll be staying off campus tonight and the actual unofficial visit will take place on Monday, including a tour of the campus and meeting with the coaching staff. The next update will be posted around noon tomorrow.
