Riley, Snyder No Longer on Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- A UNC official confirmed to Inside Carolina on Tuesday that sophomores Travis Riley and Miller Snyder are no longer on the football team. Both had been battling injuries since they enrolled at UNC.

Riley and Snyder were members of the 2011 recruiting class and red-shirted the following season.

Riley, who was an early enrollee, tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee during North Carolina's victory over Idaho in October '12 and missed the remainder of the season. He had torn the MCL and PCL in the same knee (plus fractured his tibia) during the season opener of his senior campaign at Kannapolis (N.C.) Brown High School's in 2010.

During his red-shirt year, Snyder had back surgery and missed the following spring practice. He was on the injury report the entire 2012 season.
