Williams made an evaluation visit to Bishop Gorman High School on Wednesday.
At 6-9, 215 pounds, Jeter is far from a finished product physically, but the improvement he showed on the recent summer circuit gave a peek into the full extent of his upside.
Jeter is now ranked No. 19 overall in the 2015 class by Scout.com.
His offer list includes the entire PAC-10, UNLV, Missouri, Kansas recently joined the list, plus many high-major programs are showing serious interest.
Jeter is teammates with fellow junior center Stephen Zimmerman, who is ranked the No. 1 center in the class and also received a UNC offer on Thursday evening.
"His progression since the high school season is notable. He's improved as a scorer and in general is much more assertive on the offensive end. He has hooks over both shoulders, nice touch around the basket and has great use of both hands around the rim. On top of his offensive output, he also runs the floor and will contest shots inside. He has a world of potential and is just figuring out how to play and how good he can be. It is clear his best basketball is ahead of him."
