Career-Ending Injury for James

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina sophomore offensive lineman Jarrod James is unable to continue his playing career because of a neck injury and will file for a medical exemption to remain a UNC student, multiple sources have confirmed.

The Goldsboro, N.C. native played in four games in 2013. He participated in two games in 2012 after redshirting his first year.

James, who was a member of UNC's 2011 signing class, was a SuperPrep All-America out of C.B. Aycock High School and was named to the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team.
