That experience included a Hollywood theme equipped with a Carolina Blue ‘red' carpet, photos with Ramsees, and a trip to the locker room to check out UNC's jersey selection.
"That was the first time putting on jerseys," Love said. "I've never gone down a carpet like that or had my picture taken like that. I've never been on a visit that was so unique and innovative. I don't really think I've seen anything like that from any other school."
Prior to Thursday, Love had had a couple phone conversations with Larry Porter, UNC's new running back coach. However, Love hadn't met Porter in-person until Thursday.
"The relationship is coming along," Love said. "My family really likes him."
For most of the junior day, Love was with Porter, Larry Fedora, and Ron West, who recruits Wake County for UNC.
"We just talked about the [basketball] game, all the opportunities there [at UNC], and how they're looking forward to having a good time," Love said.
Love's junior day experience was capped off by the UNC-Duke basketball game. However, he left just as the Tar Heels began the comeback that eventually scored the victory.
"It was hard to leave, but I caught the highlights," Love said. "But I really enjoyed it. It was real special being able to go to something like that – I know it's on a lot of people's bucket lists."
Despite his early departure, Love's experiences on Thursday have only improved UNC's chances with the four-star prospect.
"It's only going to go up," Love said. "I really like the program."
Originally, Love had planned to name favorite schools shortly after the football season. He now plans to announce his favorites sometime during the summer.
"Right now, I'm still going to places that I haven't been to, yet," Love said. "Right now, I'm just enjoying it."
Georgia, Ohio State, Stanford, and Tennessee are among the schools Love hopes to visit in the coming months.
Besides UNC, Love has only made recent visits to East Carolina and NC State.
