Love, a 5-foot-10, 178-pounder from Wake Forest (N.C.), has visited each of the five schools at some point of his recruitment. On Tuesday, he made his most recent visit to UNC.
"I didn't know much about the academic program," Love said. "So I just wanted to go and meet with a couple of the academic people and talk to them just about the classes [and] how it is over there."
During his stay, Love was able to speak to people who work in both the business and science departments – two areas of study that interest him.
"It was definitely good," Love said. "It was a real good experience. I had a real good time meeting new people.
"It definitely helped [UNC] learning about the academics. That's an aspect that my family and I were definitely interested - for sure."
Love's visit wasn't exclusively about academics. He also spent a great deal of time with Larry Porter, UNC's running backs coach. Love and Porter have been focused on developing a relationship since Porter filled the void created by Randy Jordan's departure for the Washington Redskins late January.
"Coach Jordan was really bringing in a lot of top guys and he definitely told me about the program," Love said. "So when Coach Porter came in I was still aware of a lot of things. Ever since I met him, I felt he was a real good dude. It's been fun getting to know him and spending time with him."
On Tuesday, Love's time spent with Porter and during that meeting Larry Fedora and Seth Littrell, UNC's offensive coordinator, joined.
"We all talked about the offense, the school, and this area," Love said. "I hadn't met with Coach Littrell before that yet, so that was good."
Love is looking to visit NC State sometime next week. He's also working on a trip to Wake Forest in the near future. Auburn, Florida, Georgia, as well as a return trip to Tennessee figure to be among his summer plans.
Since the football season concluded, Love has made a couple visits to East Carolina, where his brother is a red-shirt freshman receiver, and UNC. He has also traveled to both Stanford and Tennessee.
