The visit from Williams comes a week after UNC assistant Hubert Davis made a trip to Brown’s school.
Since the summer, the 6-6, 200-pound senior has been focused on Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Georgia and Georgia Tech. But now the Tar Heels are attempting to get involved in Brown’s recruitment and Brown tells Inside Carolina that the interest in mutual.
Brown currently has official visits set up for Kansas and Kentucky. He will visit Kansas this coming weekend and then head to Kentucky the following weekend. He also has a tentative November date with UCLA.
He has already taken unofficial trips to Georgia, Georgia Tech and UCLA.
Brown's play this summer earned him the No. 1 ranking from Scout.com in the 2015 class. His play at last weekend's USA Basketball Mini-Camp appears to have cemented that ranking.
"He was a man among boys," said Scout.com recruiting analyst Evan Daniels, "using his size, length, athleticism and strength to take defenders off the dribble and either get to the basket or pull-up and bury jumpers. He uses his elite physical tools and mental makeup to take it to whoever was defending him. His handle and shooting ability keep improving which is a testament to his work ethic. Brown is also one of the top defenders in the class, while he's always a threat to rebound in and outside of his area as well. Brown has the size, length, athleticism, motor and approach to the game to be very successful and everything keeps moving in the right direction for him."
