UNC Staff on the Recruiting Trail

The North Carolina coaching staff will take advantage of the bye week by ubiquitously making evaluation visits. Typically, coaches’ travels during the Fall Evaluation Period are restricted by Saturday’s game obligations.

Over the course of the next two days, UNC coaches will canvass the east coast from as far south as Fort Lauderdale up to New Jersey.

During the months of September, October, and November (i.e. the Fall Evaluation Period), colleges are allotted 42 evaluation days. All ten coaches (head coach, plus nine assistant coaches) are permitted to make evaluation visits (non-contact) to prospects’ high schools. Every day a coach is on the road making evaluation visits it counts as an evaluation day (thus, if two coaches are on the road on a particular day, it counts as two evaluation days)...
