Former Tar Heel Ademola Okulaja hit a 3-pointer with 1:40 remaining to give Germany a lead that they would not relinquish. Germany was down by 16 points at halftime.
Okulaja finished with 12 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3-pt., 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in 37 minutes.
In the final game of group play on Sunday, a 13-point loss to Yugoslavia, Ademola led Germany with 18 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3-pt., 6-8 FT), 10 rebounds and 4 assists in 38 minutes.
Another former Heel, Vasco Evtimov, saw his first action for France on Sunday against Lithuania. Vasco played 6 minutes, scored 2 points (0-1 FG, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 3 rebounds.
