After sitting out the spring to allow a two-year-old hip injury to heal, North Carolina's fifth-year senior quarterback is physically raring to go.
"I haven't been healthy in maybe two years," Williams said after practice. "I feel much faster now. I feel like I can get my hips down and drive the football."
Marquise Williams is excited.
He's used the word "excited" over and over again during the preseason, as if the smile on his face wasn't evidence enough.
"I've worked so hard to help my team compete and this is all I've been looking forward to," he said.
Marquise Williams is confident.
He feels his decision making has sped up as he's mastered the offense and he's got teammates that will exploit matchups.
"We're going to run a fast-paced offense and we're going to get it done," he said.
