“He called Coach [Larry] Porter and Coach Porter handed the phone to Coach [Larry] Fedora,” Robinson said. “Once Jordon got on the phone with Coach Fedora, he committed.”
Brown, a 5-foot-11, 186-pound running back, selected UNC over the likes of Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Wake Forest, and West Virginia.
"This kid is going to be special," Robinson said. "Jordan Brown can basically do anything that you ask of him. He's a truly talented, smart athlete. He can carry the ball out of the backfield in between the tackles. He can catch swing passes. He can even throw the ball, because he has a baseball background and a real good arm. If I need him to play defense, he's not afraid to go down and make contact. We had him on special teams because he's one of our better tacklers. He's a kid that doesn't complain and just goes and accomplishes his job."
Brown rushed 217 times for 1,672 yards and 29 touchdowns his junior season, plus he had 34 receptions for 523 yards and eight touchdowns.
