CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- It's finally here.
After months of buildup -- the long offseason, training camp, position battles, game prep -- it's time for North Carolina's season opener in Charlotte against South Carolina.
"It should be a lot of fun," UNC head coach Larry Fedora told reporters on Monday after practice, his final post-practice interview session before the game. "It ought to be a great, great game."
The team survived training camp without major injuries to key contributors and will enter Thursday with its starting unit intact.
"I think we're going to be at full strength," Fedora said.
It's time to get some answers about this year's Tar Heels.
"I'm excited about seeing what this 2015 team will be all about," Fedora said.
