CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- It's time for Marquise Williams to move on from his disappointing season opener. After calls from fellow quarterbacks - most notably NFL great Peyton Manning - he's ready to do so.
"I had my days of just dwelling on my performance and I feel like I let the team down, but you just have to come out and you have to move on," he said. "Some great quarterbacks called me this past weekend to talk about it and tell me to move on. I was excited just to hear from some of those guys."
Their encouragement has the fifth-year senior focused on getting back to playing his game.
"There were times I wanted to run and I didn't and I forced it," Williams said. "I just have to go out and play my game. Those guys, they called me and said, 'Just go out there and play your game. Do what you were taught to do.'"
