CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- With 96 points in two games, Illinois has an offense Gene Chizik knows his Tar Heel defense must be ready for on Saturday.
Chizik said he's impressed with multiple aspects of the Illinois offense, including quarterback, offensive line and running backs.
"The quarterback, if you give him time and he gets in his rhythm, he's going to shred your defense,” Chizik said. “Just up to date, no question this is the best offense we've played."
The UNC coordinator has seen progress from his unit, but will continue to push them.
"I'm really proud of them because they're trying, they're trying to absorb it and they're trying to do what we're asking them to do," Chizik said. "But breaking old habits is difficult."
"So it's a matter of doing things over and over again because we're all just going to be a product of our habits. So I'm proud of them for their want to but we need to get some production. And I think we got more Saturday."
