CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The only difference between North Carolina's bye week and every other week of the season? They get to focus on self-improvement and the technicalities of the game.
"I don’t know about more relaxed, we still come out here with the same effort, the same mentality that we always have," tailback Elijah Hood said. "That's just the way we have to live and play the game. But we're definitely focusing on ourselves right now as opposed to the other teams we're about to play."
Wide receiver Quinshad Davis said the bye week gives the team an opportunity for long term preparation.
"We usually just work on us, focus on us, make sure we're doing the little things that we learned in training camp and before ... make sure we're prepared for weeks down the line not just next week," Davis said.
