PITTSBURGH -- The North Carolina secondary is starting to live up to its "Rude Boys" moniker.
With first place on the line against Pittsburgh on Thursday night, UNC's defensive backs were physical in coverage, made aggressive plays on the ball, and delivered big hits.
"We just told ourselves that we needed to take this challenge tonight," said Des Lawrence, who had four pass break ups and seven tackles. "We wanted to make a name for ourselves, and I think we did that tonight.
"We played without fear tonight. We didn't really care about (pass intereference) calls, we didn't care what happened last week. We wanted to come out, play hard and be rude."
