CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- With two weeks of full-speed practices under his belt, Theo Pinson is back in business. And his 10 points and five rebounds against Guilford in Friday's exhibition signified that his road to recovery is finally complete.
Pinson, who had surgery on his left foot following his freshman season, got the starting nod from head coach Roy Williams
Teammate Kennedy Meeks noted postgame the improvement he's seen in Pinson, particularly his long-range shot.
"He's knocking down threes, really working on that in practice, he's trying to prove to coach that he can really hit that, which is what we needed tonight," Meeks said. "We're going to need that through the entire season. Everybody else did a great job but Theo especially really showed that he's ready to come back and be a big time player for us."
