CB Myles Wolfolk Flips to North Carolina

The Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise High School cornerback was committed to VT.

A day after winning their 11th straight game, the Tar Heels received a commitment.

Myles Wolfolk informed the North Carolina staff on Sunday that he has switched his commitment from Virginia Tech to UNC, sources confirm.

Wolfolk, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back from Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise, had been committed to the Hokies since last December. He took official visits to UNC and Wisconsin this month and plans to enroll in college in January.

He is UNC's second cornerback commitment in the 2016 class, joining fellow Maryland native Greg Ross, but is considered versatile enough to play multiple defensive back positions at the college level.

"He can be physical and can set the edge in the running game," said Scout regional recruiting expert Brian Dohn. "I saw him at a summer combine and he stood out. He loved to compete and he was able to get into and out of breaks quickly and was tight with them. He was able to cover across the field in the setting, but I really like him as a boundary corner.”
