CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora announced the enrollment of eight football student-athletes to campus on Monday, the first day of classes in Chapel Hill.
Seven of the eight graduated early from high school and one transferred from a junior college. The high school graduates enrolling early are offensive lineman Robert Barber (non-scholarship walk-on), running back Jordon Brown, quarterback Logan Byrd, defensive back Myles Dorn, linebacker Jonathan Smith, tight end Garrett Walston and defensive back Myles Wolfolk. Linebacker JB Copeland transferred from Navarro College in Texas.
“It’s an exciting time to be a Tar Heel and we’re thrilled to have these students join our program in January,” said Fedora. “This will allow them to get a head start on their academics and be around our players and coaches in advance of the 2016 season. We’re excited to have them here.”
