With his ability to effectively throw both touch and velocity passes coupled with his mobility, North Carolina verbal commitment Chazz Surratt was the centerpiece of Denver (N.C.) East Lincoln’s spread offense. His 4,882 all-purpose yards accounted for over 73-percent of the Mustangs’ offensive output, while he scored 63 of the team’s 83 touchdowns.
If those statistics aren’t convincing enough: East Lincoln won all 14 games in which Surratt suited up for. He was nursing a dislocated throwing elbow in its lone loss.
No matter the play call, Surratt displays great field vision – he’ll even manufacture a big play with his improvising skills. Although he needs to continue to improve the consistency of his accuracy, he understands when to throw a dart and when to take a little off of his throw to make it catchable.
