ICTV: Scouting UNC OL Commit Luke Elder

Evaluating junior footage of the UNC commitment.

Due to an injury he suffered during the offseason, North Carolina pledge Luke Elder sat out LaGrange (Ga.) High’s entire 2015 football season. The absence meant the Grangers’ run-dominant offense lost a versatile offensive lineman who excels as a run blocker, including when he’s asked to pull. Given his length and flexibility, the 6-foot-4, 284-pounder is also more than capable in pass protection.

As a run blocker, Elder is a mauler. He comes out of his stance low, locks onto his target and drives with great leverage – which often leaves his opponent on his back by the end of the play.
