Goddard will wait

For quite some time, Roanoke (NC) cornerback Trimane Goddard said that unless he was completely sure of one school, he would wait until after the season to commit.

"I am going to wait until the end of the season to decide," says the . "I was not fully sure on where I wanted to go, and I had two schools in mind."

Virginia and North Carolina were the two schools, and not only was Goddard not completely sold on one, the two are neck and neck with one another. That said, Goddard does not want to limit his options to just those two.

"I am not down to those two. I have not lined up any visits yet, but I will probably visit North Carolina, Virginia, Florida State, Tennessee, and probably Georgia."

As for the season, Goddard, a two-way star as a cornerback and star quarterback, started out at a recent jamboree with a bang.

"I had three or four interceptions in three games, and I would have returned two of them for a touchdown but they blew the whistle so I could not return them. On offense, I had eight touchdowns in those games."

Those stats just add to Goddard's kick returning ability, which were not shown in the scrimmage, but a big reason to show how dominant he is at this point in his career.
