A.J. Price update

Tar Heels fans can basically cross A.J. Price off the list of potential targets.

The 6-2, 175-pound senior guard from Amityville High (N.Y.) hasn't gotten any attention from the UNC staff over the last couple weeks.

"No one's contacted me," said Price's father, Tony. "I haven't spoken to anyone from North Carolina and it'll be a miracle if he ends up there."

According to sources close to the situation, UNC hasn't pursued Price – instead opting to go after seniors Shaun Livingston and Quentin Thomas, and junior floor leader Greg Paulus.

Price, who has just returned from the Jordan Camp in Santa Barbara, Calif., had a spectacular summer, scoring in a variety of ways and also distributing the ball to his Riverside Church teammates.

Price has basically narrowed his list of finalists to six: UConn, Kansas, St. John's, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Syracuse.
