Pressley not close to a decision

North Carolina 2004 prospect Demario Pressley said his teammates' Jamaal Edwards and Martel Thatch are not putting too much pressure on him to choose either Florida State or UNC.

"No, not really," Pressley told Inside Carolina on Monday. "They will kid around and say you need to come to Florida State or you need to come to Carolina but its not pressure."

Pressley, the No. 1 player in North Carolina this year, has entertained offers from practically every major college. He is also a teammate of two players that have verbally committed to schools already. Thatch committed to Carolina first and Edwards committed to FSU shortly thereafter.

The Greensboro Dudley defensive tackle still claims no favorites but said, "I am going to sit down with my coach this week and narrow it down to seven or eight teams. I'm going to Chapel Hill with my mother for the Florida State and North Carolina game. North Carolina will be one of the teams that will get an official visit but this will be an unofficial visit to the game on August 30."

The Panthers scrimmaged West Forsyth recently, and would have won if the score were being kept. Dudley, which hopes to challenge for a state title in 2003, opens the season at home against Burlington Cummings.
