Reminder: Meet the Heels Day set for Sat. 8/16

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Head coach John Bunting and the 2003 University of North Carolina football team will host Meet the Heels on Saturday, August 16, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Kenan Stadium. Coach Bunting and the entire Tar Heel squad will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.

Gates 5, 6 and 7 on the press box side (UNC bench side) will open at 6:30 p.m. for fans to enter the stadium. 2003 Carolina football trading cards, posters and schedule cards will be available for fans as they enter the stadium. Current Kids Club members will be able to pick up their t-shirts at Gate 6. Fans will also be able to sign-up for the Kids Club at the event.

It will be the first opportunity for fans to view the new video scoreboard. Highlights of former Tar Heel greats will be shown on the 24' x 32' monitor as fans arrive and wait for the team to be introduced.

Woody Durham, now in his 33rd year as the "Voice of the Tar Heels" will introduce the team beginning at 7 p.m. Fans will then be greeted by Head Coach John Bunting and invited onto the newly sodded Kenan Stadium turf for pictures and autographs with the 2003 Tar Heels.

There will also be a special guest appearance by Ronald McDonald. Ronald will be on the field signing autographs and giving away prizes to fans that visit his table during the autograph session.

Concession stands and restroom facilities will be open on the south side concourse. Parking is available in Craig Deck, Smith Center lots and the Bell Tower lot (off Raleigh Road).
