What happened today?
“I committed to North Carolina.
“I saw the campus and the facilities and got comfortable with the coaches. I just liked what I saw. I just decided to commit.”
Specifically, was there one coach you were most comfortable with?
“Yes, Coach Kap [Chris Kapilovic]. He’s a good coach and a good person just to know. But, we’re still building that relationship.”
When did you feel like UNC was the place that you wanted to be?
“When I went to camp on Friday.”
What happened between camping at UNC last Friday and deciding today?
“I went home and talked it over with my family. I just woke up today and felt I was ready.”
What other schools did you have offers from?
“North Carolina State, North Greenville, East Carolina, and Troy.
“And South Carolina, they were close [to offering]. They said if I came to camp they’d offer me. But I wanted to get out of state.”
Why did you want to play out of state for school?
“I wanted to see different things and get out of South Carolina for a while. I’ve always been in South Carolina.”
What was it about UNC that you liked?
“It has a good education program and a good football team.”
How firm is this commitment? Are you finished visiting schools?
“I think I’m done with the recruiting process.”
After working out with Coach Kap on Friday, what type of coach is he?
“He seemed like somebody that will work you hard and help you develop skills to be the best.”
Where does Coach Kap see you playing at along the O-line?
“I think at tackle.”
What else did you do on Friday besides work out at camp?
“We had a quick tour and I talked to the head coach.”
What did Coach Larry Fedora talk to you about?
“He said it was a good school and they would like to have me on their team.”
