PA OL keeping options open

With plenty of schools on his list and comparing that with his offer sheet, it is rather obvious how highly coveted McDowell (PA) offensive lineman Kyle Mitchum is at this point. However, things are quiet until schools can start to call him.

"Things are pretty laid back, but I know they are going to pick up soon," says the 6-foot-4, 265 pounder. "On my list, I have Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Miami and a couple of others. All of them have offered, and I have visited all of them except Miami and Boston College."

Indeed, Mitchum had a very busy summer and with a whirlwind fall scheduled, he is content for a little time to focus on his season.

"It is all overwhelming. It is great and all, but I am not going to get a big head about it at all."

However, he does plan to set up some official visits in the near future.

"I have not done that yet, but we are talking about setting up some official visits with schools right now. Miami is definitely going to get a visit because I did not get to visit over the summer, but the other slots are not filled."

All of his schools are recruiting Mitchum very hard, but he maintains that they are all on the same level. Because of that any team could awe him on a visit.

"I could pick at any time between now and signing day. I just do not know."
