After Durham (N.C.) Hillside took a 26-18, fourth quarter lead, North Carolina pledge D.J. Crossen -- plus a two-point conversion -- tied the game by returning the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley went on to win the game, 32-26, to remain undefeated.
Crossen is more known for his defensive play at cornerback, where he tallied three tackles. However, the 6-foot-1, 182-pounder also scored on a 42-yard touchdown reception.
Just prior to Crossen's kick return touchdown, Hillside had opened the fourth quarter with a 15-play, 65-yard scoring drive that used up nearly seven minutes of clock.
