In helping to keep Navarre (Fla.) High undefeated, North Carolina verbal commitment Michael Carter broke his high school's single-game record for rushing yards (332) and rushing touchdowns (six) on Friday night. The effort helped fuel the Raiders' 70-26 steam-rolling of Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage.
Carter, a 5-foot-8, 178-pound running back, scored on touchdown runs of 30, 35, 61, 31, 1, and 24 yards. He averaged 17.47 yards per rush.
If all that wasn't enough, Carter returned four kickoffs for 179 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown.
