In a match-up between the top two teams in the Triad -- and two of the top Class 4A programs in the state -- Greensboro (N.C.) Page beat previously undefeated Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley, 23-22. Although the contest came down to a last second goal line stop, UNC cornerback pledge D.J. Crossen and fellow 2018 recruit Alan Tisdale impacted the game throughout.
Will Jones, a quarterback who will represent NC in the Shrine Bowl, tried Crossen nine times during the game. On those targets, Crossen, a 6-foot-1, 182-pounder from Dudley, deflected three to the ground, while four others fell incomplete. He also made three tackles.
Tisdale, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound linebacker from Page, was in on seven stops, but contributed to the scoring with a safety.
