Nicol in no hurry

Rory Nicol, the nationally ranked tight end from Pennsylvania, says that he is not even close to making his decision at this point.

He considers himself open between Pitt, Penn State, UNC, Tennessee, Ohio State and Virginia. And there is a chance that Florida State could also be involved.

"I will probably wait until after December 13 to schedule my official visits," he said. "I am pretty close to scheduling one with Virginia, and I am 100 percent sure that I will take an official visit to North Carolina. I plan on going to Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Ohio State football games since they are all pretty close (within 3 hours driving distance).

"Coach [Kenny] Browning has been writing me often."

Nicol's high school team opens play this Friday but without the services of the starting running back who is suspended for a couple of games.

"Things are going pretty slow other than that as I am focusing on my senior season," he said.
