ICTV Analysis: New UNC Commit Antwuan Branch Isn't Just a Power Back

What are the Tar Heels getting in new commitment Antwuan Branch? A big finesse weaver, according to Inside Carolina expert Don Callahan.

North Carolina added Antwuan Branch, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound running back from Clarksville (Tenn.) Kenwood, to its commitment list on Sunday.

Although it’s easy to look at Branch’s frame and simply label him as a power back, he’s actually more of a finesse weaver. He definitely runs hard through contact with good pad level and balance, and will get physical with potential tacklers. But, he relies much more on his vision and quick feet to sift through traffic and make sharp cuts into creases.

This season, Branch has rushed for 1,769 yards and 22 touchdowns with a 9.1-yard-per-carry average. That's after 2,595 rushing yards with 27 touchdowns as a junior.
