Ready or Not, Time for More Seventh Woods

Joel Berry's absence presents an opportunity for Seventh Woods.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Calling defense, running plays, keeping a fast tempo - just a few of the many responsibilities looming over a North Carolina point guard.

Different from the ease of his high school career, Seventh Woods can feel the pressure of this important role impacting the quality of his play.

Recruited for his Ty Lawson like explosiveness, the challenge of the college level talent jump coupled with learning the Roy Williams list of responsibilities has held Woods back from effectively contributing on a consistent basis. Joel Berry will be sitting on the bench in Wednesday's matchup against Davidson, giving Woods an opportunity for more minutes, and more time to slow down his mind, speed up his game and just play basketball.
