After practicing on Thursday and Friday, Joel Berry is expected to be in North Carolina's starting lineup on Saturday for the Tar Heels' nationally televised showdown with Kentucky, the school has announced.
The junior point guard has been sidelined since suffering a sprained left ankle against Radford on Dec. 4. The prognosis at the time was a 7-10 day recovery period.
Berry, who earned MVP honors last month leading UNC to the Maui Invitational title, is averaging 14.8 points and 4.7 assists per game on the season.
Saturday's tip-off at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set for 5:45pm.
