Gene Chizik Says UNC Defensive Game Plan is Set

Defensive coordinator Gene Chizik talks to media after practice on Tuesday.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- North Carolina's defensive game plan is set for the Dec. 30 matchup against Stanford.

Defensive coordinator Gene Chizik said the team has installed about 80 percent of their plan, and over the next few days will finish up and begin to polish execution.

Despite the news of Stanford star running back Christian McCaffery's absence, Chizik reinforced that UNC's Sun Bowl opponent is spread with talent and skill, so the Tar Heels will continue preparation for facing a strong run game.
