UNC Theo Pinson Gets His Season Debut

Junior made first appearance of 2016-17 season.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Chants of "Theo" rang through the Smith Center on Sunday afternoon as Theo Pinson stepped onto the court for the first time in the 2016-17 season.

Though Pinson didn't put any points on the board in 13 minutes, he said he accomplished his goal of making a difference in the game. His four steals, five rebounds and five assists - the line of a "stat sheet stuffer," as Roy Williams called him - are just the beginning of his re-entry into the Tar Heel rotation.

Pinson reassured that his foot is completely healed, and though he'll be resting some before North Carolina heads to Winston Salem on Wednesday, he's feeling great and ready for a bigger role.
