UNC Adds Grad Transfer Stanton Truitt

Truitt has two years of eligibility remaining and he'll be eligible to play immediately.

Former Auburn wide receiver/running back Stanton Truitt announced plans to transfer to North Carolina on Sunday.

"I've been thinking about it," Truitt said. "It was just one of those things where I saw the opportunity and that's a tough opportunity to pass up. They have good coaches on the staff and it's a great academic school."

Truitt, a 5-foot-9, 185-pound athlete, took a midweek official visit to UNC earlier this month. He also officially visited Florida Atlantic.

Being a graduate transfer, Truitt will be eligible to play immediately. Additionally, he has two years of eligibility remaining.

For Auburn, Truitt suffered a season-ending injury in 2014 three games into the season. He appeared in six games in 2015 recording a 13-yard reception. This past season, he played in 11 games making seven catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.
