Thomas prepares for UNC in-home

As Quentin Thomas prepares for his first official visit this weekend to Arizona State, the Oakland Tech (Calif.) point guard will also get ready for an in-home visit from Roy Williams shortly after his return from Tempe, Ariz.

The heady senior floor leader is aware of North Carolina's involvement with Shaun Livingston – and he will quiz the staff when they come in for an in-home on Sept. 15.

Arizona State will conduct an in-home this afternoon with Thomas and Kansas will be in on Thursday. The only school out of his three finalists not to put forth a scholarship offer remains the Tar Heels.

"There's not really any hold up why we haven't scheduled an official visit (to UNC)," Thomas said. "We'll try and do it soon."

As for Livingston, Thomas said he will definitely search for some answers come next Monday.

"I've asked them about it before, but they didn't really go into detail," Thomas said. "I know he (Livingston) is thinking about North Carolina, but they told me they are really interested in me. When they come here next week, I'll definitely make them go into more detail."

Thomas also has scheduled a visit to Lawrence, Kan., for the weekend of Sept. 26.

He said that he plans to make a decision shortly after returning from Kansas if possible – whether or not Livingston has made his announcement.

"There's no way I'll wait until the spring if he (Livingston) doesn't decide until then," Thomas added. "I want to get this done before my season starts."
