For show one, we will feature Willie Williams, Charlie Jones, Xavier Lee, Bobby Washington, Drew Weatherford, Mike Brown, Travis Chambers, Josh Johnson, Demario Pressley, Cornelius Ingram, Brian Brohm, Leon Hart, and Calvin Johnson.
Chris Leak will join us on the phone to talk about his quarterback experience at Florida as a true freshman.
Wednesday's show will reminisce about previous CTSD guests and featured players, who have gone on to college and pro stardom. Highlighting this week's backward glance are game action clips and excerpts from the 1994 CTSD in-studio appearance by former New Orleans' Isidore Newman High School, Tennessee and current Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
Also CTSD will look in on several members of last year's "All-South" team, who have earned starting roles this year at their respective schools. Topping the list defensive end Mario Williams of NC State, running back Demetris Summers of South Carolina, and quarterback Reggie Ball of Georgia Tech.
CTSD enters its 14th season and we have a new host, Cory Kessler. Kessler was previously a sports anchor/reporter at WSOC-TV in Charlotte, where he spent five years. The Maryland graduate also has experience with TV stations in Fort Myers, Fla., and Lake Charles, La., and he spent six years with CNN Sports and CNN Headline News.
We will also add a new twist to show with the addition of Florida recruiting experts and TheInsiders.com's Mike Bakas and Larry Blustein from the city of Orlando. This week, Bakas will join us via satellite to talk about the schools and prospects in the Sunshine State.
CTSD will air each and every Wednesday through Signing Day in February on both Fox Sports Net South and Sunshine Network. CTSD profiles all the top prospects in Southeast and tracks the recruiting efforts of all the schools in the SEC, ACC, Miami, Virginia Tech, South Florida, Central Florida, Louisville, and some others.
