Season ends for Antwain Carey

This season has been rough for Deep Creek (VA) running back Antwain Carey, who just returned from a broken foot. Now he has another injury and this one is heart-breaking.

"I am not really doing too well. I am out for the season," says the 6-foot, 205 pounder. "I played in 3 games since came back, and now this. The foot was not stable since I came back, and the injury was inevitable."

Carey, who says he has not been able to hear from schools but attributes that to his spending time away from home, gets a boot today.

However, while high school is now finished, Carey says that at least recruiting is starting to pick up.

"I got UNC to want me to come down for an unofficial Dec 8th, and they want me to come down for an official visit in January. I think they may offer me when I come for the unofficial.

"I think I'm going to Virginia Tech's Boston College game. I saw them (VT) there on Friday at the game."

Currently, Carey says he does not have any one school that stands out from the rest.

"I have Virginia Tech, Virginia, UNC, and NC State, but they are all even."
