Jamaal Edwards update

Jamaal Edwards, whose early commitment to Florida State seemingly closed the door on early speculation that the "Dudley Three" would all attend college as a group, may still visit UNC.

"I'm thinking about taking other visits, but that's all for after the season," Edwards said Friday.

Edwards, a 6-0, 200-pound running back with 4.4 speed and stellar hands was a first team all-state selection as a junior and rushed for 2,378 yards and 31 touchdowns.

"I really don't know whether it will be a big deal, but Carolina would get one. I'm really going to think about it after the season, but I'd like to go up there."

While the prospect of landing all three highly-touted recruits from Dudley will doubtlessly excite UNC football fans, it is important to note that Edwards is still committed to Florida State, a point he is quite clear about. From the perspective of UNC, it is a longshot, but one well worth continued attention.
