Inside Carolina hires Dir. of Sales & Marketing

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Inside Carolina, in cooperation with Citadel Media, Inc., has hired a new full time staff member, Audrey Pukash, as the publication's Director of Sales & Marketing.

"I was always hoping for the opportunity to combine my professional career with my love for all things Carolina," Pukash said. "Several people saw the opening on Inside Carolina and encouraged me to look into it. I agree, this is a natural fit for me and I am truly excited at the opportunity to assist in the continuing success of IC.

Pukash, who participated in several sports at UNC, is a 1995 graduate and has been a Chapel Hill-area resident since 1990.

"Since moving here and then becoming a Tar Heel, and the people I have met along the way in this community, seem to have led me to this point in my life," she said.

"One of the most popular phrases I hear from people regarding feedback on the site and magazine is how checking in with IC is a part of people's daily routine -- used multiple times per day. This speaks volumes of the interest in, and impact of, this publication."

When not talking to local business owners, you can find Pukash in her Section 115 season tickets at Kenan Stadium or in the aisles of the Dean. E. Smith Center, where she's a volunteer usher.

"We're excited about the addition of Audrey to our staff," said Inside Carolina president Buck Sanders. "She could very well be the last piece of the puzzle to take Inside Carolina to the next level."

Inside Carolina's monthly magazine, in its tenth season of publication, is the fastest growing independent magazine on the market covering North Carolina athletics.

The website,, is the biggest online community of Tar Heel fans and the leading independent voice of Carolina sports -- averaging more than 170,000 unique visitors per month and nearly eight million page views per month.

"Audrey's wide base of advertising expertise and contacts in the North Carolina region are two of the main reasons she has been hired," said Dwight Johnson, the director of advertising for Citadel Media. "Her enthusism and passion for Carolina sports are unparalleled. We're looking forward to the contributions she's going to bring to the magazine and web site."

Businesses interested in advertising in the magazine or on the web site can contact Pukash at

"From the UNC athletic office to different proprieters throughout the Carolina community, I hear in-person testimonials on how IC is a part of the morning ritual," Pukash said. "I feel so lucky to be a part of this die-hard community and look forward to meeting as many Carolina fans as possible."
