UNC Football injury report

Strong safety DeFonte Coleman dislocated his left shoulder in the East Carolina game. He was taken out in the first half, but did return later in the game. He was examined again today and he will undergo shoulder surgery later this week. Coleman will miss the remainder of the season.

Strong safety Dexter Reid dislocated a finger and fractured a finger on his right hand in the game on Saturday. He is expected to practice at full speed when the Tar Heels resume workouts on Tuesday.
