Maryland received a commitment today from Travis Garrison, as had been expected over the past month.
The 6-8 power forward from Morgan Wootten's DeMatha School (MD) has been on the national radar for quite a few years now, but this summer really began realizing his potential. He's not in our Consensus Top 50, but definitely deserves to be as he has shined over the past few months. Analysts in attendance at the Charlie Weber Invitational last month agreed that he was playing like a Top 25 talent, showing off his deadly mid-range jumpshot and strong rebounding presence.
Garrison joins three other Terp recruits (PG John Gilchrist, WG Chris McCray and WF Nik Caner-Medley) to form what is certainly a recruiting class that will earn Top 10 honors.
