Baker making backup plans?

Hutchinson CC (KS) linebacker Carlton Baker made a commitment to North Carolina shortly after his official visit, but there was a condition on the commitment. Will Baker begin to look around?

"Only new thing is that I'm starting to get a lot of new calls. I'm not sure, but things could change. I don't know how my deal is going to go with North Carolina.

"I need to pass all my classes with a "C" or better. I have one class that is a little questionable, but we have one final test coming up and it depends on that class and that test."

Baker says he believes he will find out his grade in that course around the 15th or 16th of December and a final choice will be made around that grade.

"I may have to look at some backup plans or something. If I have to, I would look at the new schools like Memphis, Purdue, South Florida, TCU or Louisiana Tech."

Another question surrounding Baker for some is his eligibility to play football.

"I have two to play two. A lot thought that I only had one because they thought I was a full-time student at Arkansas. I think that when they found out that I had 2 to play, they started to look at me more."
