Curry on pace to break state record tonight

Future Tar Heel JamesOn Curry is expected to eclipse the state scoring record tonight in High Point. The Eastern Alamance senior is 21 points away from the all-time mark that has stood for 44 years.

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association's record book is about to be rewritten tonight as Eastern travels to High Point Andrews for a 7:30 tip-off.

The current mark of 2,758 points is held by Vance High's Lawrence "Cotton" Clayton, which dates back to 1959.

For those planning to attend, we've posted directions (courtesy of Andrews) below. Make sure to arrive 90 minutes before tip-off if you want a seat, as a full house is expected. And if you can't make it to High Point tonight, stay tuned for Inside Carolina's in-depth coverage.
