As to whom they've been watching?
"You know, all of them. The Big Ten schools, certainly the ACC and the Big East.
"We've seen Carolina play a couple of times already as well."
Costner, who college coaches love for his polished skills, also sports an impressive 3.4 GPA at Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, N.J. So there aren't going to be any academic worries with this big fella. He also runs with the T5T Playaz, a high profile AAU club, based out of the Philadelphia area, so exposure isn't going to be a concern either.
"We've received about 10-15 offers thus far," said Tony, who was a former college basketball and NBA player in his days. "I don't want to elaborate on who those schools are that have recently offered, because I'd rather my son comment on that. His mother and I will have some input in his decision but this is something that he's going to decide himself. He wants to go somewhere where he can play. Sometimes when we watch these teams, we see kids stuck down there on the end of the bench and he isn't trying to be one of those kids."
"He wants to go somewhere that he can get his playing time and develop," Costner added.
Among the schools battling for the perimeter oriented big man are Kansas, NC State, Seton Hall, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, UCLA and Stanford. Prior lists have also included Georgetown, Clemson, Indiana, Virginia and Michigan.
"He's got a pretty long list right now," Costner said. "We haven't actually sat down and tried to narrow it down yet, but that's something that we'll probably look at doing after the season is over. He's in no rush at all right now."
