Inside Carolina: Brandon, which of your favorites is recruiting you the hardest?
Brandon Jeffries: I'd say NCST, TN and UNC.
IC : How often are they contacting you?
Jeffries: I get something in the mail about every day. The schools are only allowed to call me once per week right now.
IC: What are the most important things to you in choosing a school?
Jeffries: Probably a combination of football and academics. If I were to get hurt, I would want to have an education in order to support myself.
IC: What would you like to major in?
Jeffries: I am really interested in architecture.
IC: Some of the schools that you have mentioned do not offer architecture as a specific major. How important to you is it that architecture is offered?
Jeffries: I am not that concerned about architecture specifically being offered. There are other fields of study that are somewhat related to architecture, like some environmental studies, that I would be interested in majoring in.
IC: Who is your primary recruiter from UNC?
Jeffries: Coach Powell is my primary recruiter.
IC: How do you and he get along?
Jeffries: Coach Powell is my buddy. I really like him.
IC: Have you met any of the other staff?
Jeffries: I met Coach Caldwell at the UNC camp summer before last and really like the way he coaches the offensive line.
IC: What do you think about Coach Bunting?
Jeffries: He seems like he really knows a lot about coaching. He is getting those guys to win.
IC: What do you like about TN?
Jeffries: They were the first team to recruit me and they are not too far away.
IC: Are they your favorite team?
Jeffries: No, I do not have a favorite team.
IC: Are you sure? I have seen several articles that say you like TN the best?
Jeffries: I have never said that I like TN the best. You know how some of those writers are. I don't really understand why they think that.
IC: You mentioned that they (TN) are not too far away. Is distance from home important to you?
Jeffries: Yes. I will go to an in-state school or if not then to one of the teams that is close by (like TN, SCAR, and VaT).
IC: Did you have a favorite school growing up?
Jeffries: I liked UNC growing up. I always wanted to play basketball for Dean Smith when I was a kid.
IC: Is there anything about Carolina that you do not like?
Jeffries: No, there is nothing that I don't like.
IC: Will Carolina get one of your official visits?
Jeffries: Yes, they will be one of my official visits.
IC: What do you like to do when you are not playing football?
Jeffries: I like to play basketball and read about architecture.
IC: When did you start playing football?
Jeffries: When I was in the 3rd grade.
IC: How is your HS football team doing?
Jeffries : We're 7-0 so far.
