Barth returns from OV

North Carolina has one committed kicker for the 2004 class, Wilmington Hoggard's Connor Barth, who took his official visit this weekend arriving in Chapel Hill on Friday and leaving Sunday morning.

"It was an awesome time," Barth told Inside Carolina. "I think all the recruits had a great time. My host was Greg Warren. The basketball game (with Connecticut) was crazy. We really could not rush the floor because we were up aways."

Barth was in town with some other of North Carolina's prized recruits including some uncommitted ones.

"I don't know if anyone else committed or not. I know they all seemed to be having a good time."

The recruits had the opportunity to eat dinner at Kenan Stadium (North Box) following the basketball game.

"After dinner, Greg took me out on the town and showed me around," Barth said. "He is a great guy."

Barth plans to enroll at Carolina in June in time for summer school.

"My coach told me that I could probably play in the East –West All-Star game but I think I would rather enroll in Carolina and start getting ready for the season.
