Heels pick up OL commit

Arlington (Texas) Mansfield offensive lineman Thomas Nyaoga has chosen North Carolina over Colorado and other schools, Bears' head coach Tim Beck told Inside Carolina on Thursday.

Nyaoga visited with the North Carolina staff on Tuesday and the Colorado staff on Wednesday.

Beck confirmed the commitment around 5 p.m. CST, saying that Nyaoga intends to call the UNC coaching staff tonight.

"Overall, North Carolina was where I wanted to be," Nyaoga said. "The campus was beautiful. The players were cool. They had everything I was looking for. I'm really looking forward to playing for them."

Nyaoga is ranked No. 98 nationally among offensive lineman in TheInsiders' Top 100.
